Been dancing a while and want to take your Lindy Hop to new heights?

Level 2 is aimed at dancers who are having been dancing a year or more and are looking for more challenges in their dancing. Each block focuses on adding new layers to your dancing, exploring more challenging concepts and offering more opportunities for individual expression and collaboration between dancers and the music.

Please note this block assumes attendees are already familiar with a variety of classic shapes (swing outs, Frankie 6s, tuck turns, Charleston shapes etc.) and are comfortable mixing rhythms while social dancing at a range of tempos. You should be confident social dancing all of the content explored at Level 1. You can check out our Level 1 Curriculum here.

The classes are so much fun, there is a real emphasis on building a dance community and this come across in the teaching. The classes give you the opportunity to explore in greater depth things you already know as well as introducing new ideas in an environment which is both supportive and encouraging.

Lindy Hop Level 2 is a fantastic choice for dancers looking to build confidence and take their dancing to the next level. The class not only improved my technical skills but also my overall understanding of the dance style, its history, and its cultural significance. I truly feel like a more well-rounded dancer and a more confident person overall.

Level 2 classes are such a highlight of the week for me. Every single time I get to learn so much new, and also the history of the dance. Jessie and Benjie really throw themselves in to offer all of their knowledge and support, which is fantastic. I couldn’t recommend this class more to anyone who has the fundamentals and wants to go deeper.

The focus on musicality and listening to the music is really helping me to better understand how I can improve my own dancing. Their enthusiasm and ability to communicate content make the lessons accessible to all and gives you the confidence to try new variations.

I’ve been dancing with the Swing Project for the past year and I love it! The teachers are warm and welcoming and have fostered a great swing dance community. The blocks of 4 classes with overarching themes enable me to explore different possibilities with moves and feel grounded in the move fundamentals. My dancing has greatly developed and become much more creative since starting with the Swing Project.
